Are We In Italy Yet? ~ 15th March

Well around 700 km later and we have arrived in Italy!  We left Dijon at 9am and after several stops arrived in Verona at 6.30 p.m.  The words 'are we in Italy yet?' were spoken by Jude on numerous occasions!  Our route took us through the Mont Blanc tunnel quite an adventure.  Around 12 km and 15 minutes were what it took to leave France and arrive in Italy.  We left France in fairly pleasant weather and arrived in Italy to snow which was unexpected but quite magical.  The drive was spectacular with the most beautiful range of snow covered mountains and scenery quite hard to beat.  It felt a little different to the drive in France with more traffic and random use of lanes but we kept our cool!  Our 4th floor apartment on the edge of Verona was a welcome retreat and the real start of our Italian road trip.
